Looking for a high quality, show worthy, Classic 50’s truck that was built to be driven and enjoyed???

Do you want one that stands out among others and has some custom touches that will truly make it unique??

This Grecian Gray 1950 Chevrolet 3100 might just be the one!! Keep in mind you will have to be lucky enough to get it before the next car guy or gal does. We acquired this sweet Resto Modded 3100 a few months ago from a car collector in South Carolina who was in the process of clearing out some of his collection to make room for some new toys. We liked his tastes so much we bought 3 great cars from him. You will see 2 others pictured below… Gorgeous 1930 Model A Hot Rod Pick Up and a Pro Street 1967 Supercharged Chevy Nova putting down 500hp to the rear wheels. Yes, they will both be up for sale soon and you can feel free to contact me for info on either one.   The gentleman we bought these from did not build this sweet truck so unfortunately we were somewhat limited on the build info, however a quick look around and a quick drive in this beauty lets you know that this was a pretty expensive build that was done professionally and done right.  It has had a little over 11,000 miles on it since completion so it has just been broken in. I will do my best to provide enough pictures, a video so you can hear it running, and an honest description so you can determine if this is the Truck you have been dreaming of….If so, Lets make your dream a reality and get this  in to your garage so you can bring in the New Year with a great investment and a Hot Rod you can drive and enjoy!!!

Hopefully you will agree that this 3100 is an absolutely stunning looking truck. While it retains much of the original body and styling it has been slightly rest modded to achieve a look all of its own. The cab and body are original steel. Fenders were replaced with lightweight, great fitting, high quality, fiberglass fenders.  Body panels are extremely straight and solid and the paint job is a very high quality and was done in a Genuine 1950 Chevy Paint color called Grecian Gray.  As you will see in the pictures below the body is accented with some beautiful hand-done pin-striping that was very tastefully done. Rear bumper was removed and a custom panel installed to give it a meaner Hot Rod appearance.  Beautiful wood bed with a neat little trap door for the fuel filler going to the fuel cell.  Sweet looking Chrome grill, front bumper and half moon chrome headlight covers.  A modified rear window to give the driver better visibility and it also slides open for airflow. Nicely tinted windows all around to keep the heat out. Windows roll up and down nicely. Running boards in great condition with just a few small scratches along the passenger side running board.  Overall the body and paint are in exceptional condition and are close to flawless however there are a couple of minor chips along the door edge and maybe a few other tiny ones that were touched up.  This is definitely a truck you can proudly enter in the shows and you will surely fill up the truck bed with trophies in no time.  Here is a photo tour of the body:

The interior of this Fifty is also a fantastic marriage of the original with some modern updates.  Beautiful and very comfortable gray split bench seat with fold down arm rest is like new with no wear. Cool Chevy bow ties embroidered.  Great set of Classic Industries Gauges in the dash to give you all the vital info needed.  Truly awesome Stereo that looks like the original AM radio but is actually an updated FM stereo with I-pod adaptor mounted neatly in the ash tray. Speakers are professionally mounted under the dash and additional speakers and subs behind the front bench seat. Beautiful custom steering wheel to match interior and it is a Tilt wheel.  Lokar Automatic shifter neatly mounted. All of the gauges, lights, turn signals work and there is a working heater installed. Dark gray carpeting in great shape and a neatly added storage cubby on the passenger side.  Super clean lines with the look and feel of a ’50 Chevy Truck with some very nicely added mods. Again, the interior is show ready….have a look.

Under the hood of this Grecian gray Fifty is a newly built, very strong 350 V8 with a slight cam. This motor has just under 11,800 miles so it has just been broken in and has been adequately road tested so you know it is ready to go. Edelbrock Endurashine 4bbl carburetor with electric choke feeds the fuel to this drivetrain and it breathes out of stock manifolds mated to brand new, great sounding dual exhaust. Nicely detailed under the hood with painted Chevy Valve covers and air cleaner. Air horns neatly mounted in case anyone gets in your way. Electric fan keeps this motor cool.  Strong shifting turbo 350 automatic transmission with Lokar Shifter in the cab. Fresh oil change with Royal Purple. Red Top Optima battery installed under the passenger side floorboard supplies the power. Power steering and Power front disc brakes make handling an stopping effortless! This truck drives and sounds as good as it looks. Here is a look under the hood and then there is a short video so you can hear this baby running.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HEAR HOW SWEET THIS HOT ROD SOUNDS??

TURN UP YOUR VOLUME AND CLICK THE ARROW TO START THIS SHORT VIDEO:

As you have probably noticed this 3100 has a killer stance thank to being lowered about 4 inches and riding on a beautiful set of 17″ American Racing Torq thrust wheels wrapped in great rubber….255/50/17 in back and 245/40/17 up front. A slight mini tub was done to the rear.  Rear end is a 10 bolt rear with very highway friendly gears. I am not sure of the exact gear ratio but this truck cruises effortlessly at 70 mph on the highway and also has plenty of low end torque off the line for some fun.  Very tight suspension and handling thanks to the S10 front clip with power rack and pinion steering.  Power front disc brakes up front for great stopping power. The frame itself was bead blasted and painted at time of restoration and still looks great. Great sounding dual exhaust!! High quality build front to back, top to bottom!!
