AWESOME 1965 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK, A-CODE GT 350 CLONE, CALIFORNIA CAR, NICELY LOADED WITH OPTIONS AND READY TO SHOW AND GO!!

This beautiful ’65 Fastback is owned by a good friends brother here in the Atlanta, GA area who decided he needs to thin his herd a bit.  He is a die hard Mustang guy and his collection includes a’ 70 Boss 302, and a ’08 Shelby GT500 as you will see pictured below.   He searched for a long time looking for a rust free ’65 Fastback and finally came upon this sweet example that spent most of its life in California. He has great documentation and history of the car including original owners manual with the original owners information typed by the dealership as well as an extensive history of documentation, receipts and photographs.  When he purchased the car it was in great condition but had been painted white at some point in its life. This was an original Silver Smoke grey car from the factory so it was a no brainer to have it repainted in the original color.  He had a very high end paint job done and gave it a Shelby GT 350 look but of course it is not an original GT 350. It is however a fantastic looking and driving A-code 289 V8 loaded with power steering, power brakes and factory A/C.  Below you will find some pics that he provided that should give you a good idea of the quality of this awesome Fastback.

The paint and body are extremely nice!! Not perfect, but much better then most you will see and it appears that this California stang has all of its original sheet metal. The car is very straight and body gaps are excellent.  You will find a few minor chips in the paint but not much else.  Chrome and trim looks fantastic.  This car is nice enough to show at any of the local events or cruise ins and will most likely win its share of trophies if that is what you enjoy. Have a look:

There are several nice Shelby era correct add ons that will cause people to do a double take and ask you if it is a real Shelby. These include Shelby gauges, hard to find Shelby Cragar style wheels, Shelby aircraft seat belts, emblems and side view mirrors.  The black  interior is in great condition.  Factory A/C is all there however it will need to be checked and re charged as it currently is not blowing cold.  The 289 V8 pulls strong and the car has been very reliable. Easy handling and stopping thanks to the Power Steering and Power brakes. Engine bay is nicely detailed.  The undercarriage is very clean and solid as you would expect from a California mustang. Trunk is nicely detailed and also rock solid.  Here is a look around:
