HAVE YOU BEEN SEARCHING FOR A BEAUTIFUL, CLASSIC MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE THAT CAN BE DRIVEN AND ENJOYED BUT WILL ALSO FIT RIGHT IN AT THE LOCAL SHOWS ANS CRUISE INS AND WILL PROBABLY BRING HOME ITS SHARE OF TROPHIES? IF SO THIS PONY WILL DEFINITELY FIT YOUR NEEDS!! THIS BEAUTIFUL ’65 CONVERTIBLE WAS PRODUCED IN THE SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA PRODUCTION FACILITY AND SPENT MOST, IF NOT ALL ITS LIFE IN THE DRY, RUST FREE CLIMATE OF ARIZONA. THE PREVIOUS OWNER BOUGHT THIS CAR 30 YEARS AGO!! IN 1990 HE HAD A PROFESSIONAL COSMETIC RESTORATION DONE ON AN ALREADY RUST FREE BODY.  WHEN HE BOUGHT THE CAR IT HAD JUST 85,000 MILES AND CURRENTLY THERE ARE JUST SLIGHTLY OVER 91,000 MILES WHICH IS BELIEVED TO BE THE ORIGINAL MILEAGE. THE CAR WAS HIS PRIDE AND JOY AND HE ONLY DROVE IT LOCALLY TO THE CAR SHOWS AND CRUISE INS OR OCCASIONAL SUNNY DAY JOY RIDES. DUE TO HIS AGE HE WAS FORCED TO SELL IT AND WE ACQUIRED IT THROUGH A FRIEND OF HIS. THIS IS A GREAT RUNNING, VERY STOCK, C-CODE CLASSIC MUSTANG THAT WILL SURELY PLEASE ITS NEXT OWNER.  I WILL DO MY BEST TO PROVIDE ENOUGH PICTURE, AN HONEST DESCRIPTION AND A COUPLE OF VIDEOS TO HELP YOU DECIDE IF THIS STALLION SHOULD BE IN YOUR STABLE….ENJOY!!

As you will see, the body and paint on this Mustang Convertible are absolutely gorgeous! The cosmetic restoration that was done in 1990 held up beautifully which leads me to the conclusion that this car started as a very solid, rust-free car and the work was done by a quality professional. We had the paint professionally wet sanded and buffed, and as you can see, there is tremendous luster and reflection in the Burgundy metallic paint. It truly glistens in the sun!! Body panels are very, very straight and body line gaps are excellent. While the body looks amazing there are a couple of very minor flaws in the paint that I do not think will show up and probably a few rock chips from ordinary driving that you would expect on a car that was driven and enjoyed. I noticed a very small bubble in the paint at the lower part of the drivers side quarter panel that looks like it has been there for years and  has not broken the paint. We believe this Mustang has all of its original body panels. Chrome trim and bumpers look excellent. windows all rollup and down nicely and glass looks great although I noticed a stark in the windshield from the wipers that would probably polish out easily.  We added a white GT style stripe to accent the white interior and convertible top. Overall the body is in fantastic condition and is ready for your local shows if that is what you enjoy. The color is stunning and helps it stand out among the other Mustangs you see out there. Here is a walk around picture tour of the body:

Complimenting the Burgundy metallic body is a white power convertible top and parchment white interior. Although I always recommend driving these Classic Mustangs with the top down as much as possible, it is also nice to know that it has a quality convertible top that was replaced approximately 4 years ago and has the upgraded split glass rear window. There is a matching white boot cover for when the top is down.  The Power top operates quickly and smoothly and we replaced the hydraulic lines recently.  The parchment white interior is also beautiful and refreshing compared to the typical black interior.  We believe the seat covers may have been replaced 4 years ago also and they look great with almost no wear.  Dash pad is new and there is a nice set of black pony floor mats over the black carpeting that is in great shape also. Stock steering wheel looks great and all of the gauges are clear and appear to be functioning accurately. The center console looks great and courtesy light functions correctly when the doors are open.  This is a factory Air conditioned car and everything appears to be there and working although the system should be gone through and  be charged to be blowing cold. Again I would say that the interior is in beautiful condition and ready for the shows! Take a look:

This C-code 289 V8 Mustang runs as good as it looks!  With just over 91,000 miles on the original motor this stock 289, 2bbl V8 gallops quietly along the road and runs and handles exceptionally well. Power steering makes handling a breeze and the manual drum brakes function great and stop the car with ease. The drive train is very stock and it still breathes out the stock manifolds and through a single exhaust. We have had this car nicely tuned up and she is ready to hit the road!! Engine bay has been nicely detailed and you can proudly pop the hood anywhere you go. This pony is riding on a brand new set of 14″ Styled steel wheels wrapped in brand new BFG radial TA tires. Below is a look under the hood and also a video so you can hear this Pony start up and running.

This Arizona Pony is also rock solid underneath and inside of the trunk. Floorpans, frame rails and torque boxes appear to be original.  The underside has been nicely detailed using red oxide primer. The trunk has an original style trunk mat and appears rust free and rock solid as well. The original door tag and Vin stamping on the drivers side inner fender well are shown below.
