If you have been looking for a high quality, show stopping, pro touring, muscle car that has the power to match its beauty then get comfortable and make room in the garage because this ’67 Nova might just be the one for you!! We acquired this sweet Chevy II along with 2 other awesome Hot Rods from a great car guy in South Carolina who was rotating some inventory to make room for a new group of toys and projects. All 3 vehicles we purchased from him were high quality builds, but this ’67 Nova was the cream of the crop. With the vision to build a Hot Rod with some ground pounding muscle combined with the comfort features, handling, and style of a modern touring machine the previous owner found a great platform to start with when he located a ’67 Nova II in California back in 2005. A little bit at a time this Nova was transformed from grandmas grocery getter to the Pro Touring Hot Rod you are about to see and hear. Finished in the summer of 2012, it is estimated that over $60,000 was spent on this high end build. This Nova was shown locally in South Carolina winning awards each time and was also featured in the 2013 Low Country Heels and Wheels calendar and we will include several calendars to the next owner. The thrill of the build was over and the owner was ready to move on to a new group of toys and projects so this awesome, 475 horsepower, super charged ’67 Nova is now up for grabs. Do not drag your feet on this one!!! I will do my best to provide enough images, a video of the Nova running, and an honest description to help you decide if this sweet ride should be added to your collection. Sit back and enjoy!
Starting off with a rock solid California body this ’67 Nova was treated to a high end restoration that resulted in a super straight, rock solid muscle machine. Once the body was stripped and any minor body issues attended to by a high end paint and body shop, a beautiful two-tone paint job was applied. The top surface of the body is a dark gray metallic that is complimented by a silver metallic color on the lower body. Separating the 2 colors is a plum colored pinstripe that adds a great touch. A steel cowl hood was added but otherwise the body is stock and original. This car was not originally a SS car but the owner did add the SS emblems and super sport script. Every piece of chrome and front and rear bumpers were replaced and look fantastic. While this Nova is definitely show quality and will take home more trophies then the trunk will hold if that is what you enjoy, there are a few small flaws worth mentioning. When the super charged motor was built this car had some serious torque and power and as a result a small crack in the paint occurred on the driver side windshield pillar. The owner then added subframe connectors to prevent this from happening in the future. There is also a small spot along driver side pin stripe where the paint cracked slightly. These areas probably will not show up in the pictures and do not take away from the beauty of this car but I believe in disclosing the flaws I see. Other then these spots and some extremely tiny rock chips the body is absolutely gorgeous! Body panel fit is excellent and paint quality is fantastic. Windows have all been tinted and roll up and down nicely. Here is a walk around picture door of the body:
The interior of this sweet ’67 Nova is equally as impressive as the beautiful paint and body. An extremely comfortable set of front bucket seats are combined with the matching stock rear seat. Drivers seat has a power and manual adjustment and both front seats offer fantastic lumbar and side support that will hold driver and passenger firmly in place especially when the throttle is nailed and you are pushed back in your seats! Everything inside was completely redone. Door panels, headliner, carpeting all look new. Gauge cluster was neatly updated with a great set of auto meter gauges which include a gps speedometer unit. All of the gauges, turn signals, lights and horn are functioning correctly. Ice cold Air conditioning will keep the cabin cold like a newer car thanks to the Vintage air conditioning system that was installed. An original center console with SS emblem looks great and the Quicksilver B&M shifter looks right at home. Of course this Pro touring beauty has a high end Kenwood CD stereo system that sounds fantastic. Speakers are neatly mounted in the front kick panels and rear package tray and the amplifier has been neatly fitted in the custom trunk that also house the Optima Yellow top battery. Here is a tour inside:
How about some neck snapping power to go with the beauty of this ’67 Nova II?? With just under 500 miles on the drivetrain, the Gm Performance Crate 350 V8 was warmed up a bit! The combination of a Weiand Supercharger, Holley 4160 4bbl, Ceramic coated headers and some great tuning helped to produced close to 500 horsepower on the dyno test. Some serious horsepower on tap when desired but built to be driven and enjoyed so it is extremely street friendly and can be driven anywhere! This power plant is mated to a brand new GM 4L60 E electronically controlled Automatic transmission with a pro torque stall converter and TCI transmission controller that shifts beautifully. Power is efficiently transferred to the rear wheels through the Moser 12 bolt rear end with 3:55 gears. Burn rubber from stop light to stop light, or cruise at 80mph on the highway with this set up. The quick silver shifter gives the driver the ability to simply put the car in drive or drop it down and bump shift it through the gears for some added fun. Breathing out the ceramic headers into a brand new aluminum exhaust this Nova rumbles at idle, growls under normal driving and roars under heavy acceleration!!! There is a video that follows the pics below to give you an idea of how great it sounds. Of course a Pro Touring car with all this power needs to be handle and stop as well as it accelerates! Heidts Rear suspension and CPP front suspension help this Nova big the road through turns. CPP power steering and Wilwood 4 wheels power disc brakes make handling a breeze and give you all the stopping power you need. MSD ignition and HEI distributor provide the spark. I have a receipt for over $31,000 that was spent on the drive train and suspension that did not include the cost of the crate 350 motor. Aluminum radiator and electric fans keep this car running cool. Beautiful set of 17″ Ridler wheels wrapped in Falken rubber grab the road. Detroit speed well tubs neatly installed in the rear to accommodate the wider rear wheels and tires. This Nova Hot Rod is ready for the Hot Rod Power Tour, a ride to the local or national shows and cruse ins, some stop light to stop light fun, or a cruise with your family!! Looks great, sounds amazing, and runs amazing with power to spare. Have a look and definitely take a minute to listen to the rumble in the short video that follows.
