If you have been searching for an eye-catching, very original, 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible with a fun to drive, manual 4-speed then this might be the Pony for you!!! We recently acquired this car from a gentleman who owned it since 1994. I believe he said he was the 3rd owner and the previous owner bought it in 1982 from the original owners. I have receipts that start in 1982 up to the present time that show most if not all of the work that has been done to this beauty.  The previous owner explained that he did pretty close to a full restoration on the car which started out as a very solid driver when he bought it 18 years ago.  This is a very original Mustang that has been well taken care of throughout its life and is a blast to drive! The mileage is believed to be original with less then 91,525 miles on it!!  As you will see it presents itself extremely well in the original  Nightmist Blue ( paint code K) with Blue interior, white convertible top,   original 4-speed manual shift, mated to the strong C-code 289 V8. This is a fantastic car for the Car guy or gal who wants an iconic Ford Mustang Convertible that can be driven and enjoyed and is worthy of taking to the local shows and cruise ins.  I will do my best to provide enough pictures, videos and an honest description to help demonstrate the cars condition and beauty to help you decide if this is the right one to put in your stable! There are many large pics and a couple of videos that make take a few minutes to load depending on your computer. Sit back and enjoy!

The body and paint on this ’67 Convertible are very nice!! The car was last repainted in 2006 in the original Nightmist Blue color.  There is a bit more metallic in the paint then was probably offered by the factory in 1967 but it merely helps this Pony glisten when the sun hits her. We recently had the paint professionally wet-sanded and buffed and it looks fantastic with great of luster and reflection. Overall body panel fit is very good. Doors open and close with ease and line up very nicely. The deluxe hood with the turn signals lines up nicely with very even gaps on each side. There are no bubbles or signs of rust along the body.  It does look like there was some lower quarter panel work done to the car at some point but it looks great and I believe they are the original quarter panels.  Chrome trim, bumpers, convertible header all look very nice with only minor signs of age. The White GT style stripe is a great accent to the white convertible top and give this stallion a great look.  Overall I would say that the body on this classic Mustang is in great condition overall and can be entered in local shows and cruise ins. It is not a concourse restoration, nor is it priced as such.  The next owner will be very proud to be seen in this gorgeous Nightmist Blue convertible!! Here is a walk around tour of the body and there is a video walk around at the end of the listing.

While I always recommend you drive this beautiful Pony with the top down it is nice to know that it does have a very nice convertible top if you absolutely need it.  I do not think the top is the original but it is in very nice condition overall and the white color is a great accent to the Nightmist Blue color.  There are some marks on the top that would not clean off but it would be inexpensive to dye the top if you want it to look as good as the body. The rear window is also discolored from age but is still plenty clear to see through and use.  Don’t get me wrong, it still looks excellent but I like to disclose what I see.  By the way, the top is manual which I usually prefer on these as it is extremely easy to operate by one person and has the original clips to hold it in the down position. This car also has a matching boot cover for when the top is down that really compliments both the interior and exterior colors.  Here is a look:

Slide inside this ’67 Mustang Convertible and you would swear you were back on the showroom floor of the local Ford dealership. Pretty much everything on the interior has been completely redone. Upholstery,  door panels, arm rests, seat backs, quarter trim, under carpet insulation and sound proofing, carpeting, seat belts, etc. are all in gorgeous condition and give this car a great original look. Weatherstripping was redone so everything seals up nicely. The dash and gauge cluster look awesome and all of the gauges appear to be working accurately including in-dash factory tachometer.  Original 4-speed shifter with t-handle looks great.  There is a nice set of rubber floor mats that will be included. Windshield and side glass all look great.   Check it out!!!

Ok, ok hopefully at this point you agree that this Mustang looks great but are wondering….”How does it drive??” Well, this Pony drives as good as it looks!!! Original mileage is believed to be correct at under 91,525 miles.  Although the previous owner did not put that many miles on it he wanted to make sure that it was ready for the road at any time. I have driven this car in the 95 degree Atlanta Heat and it has performed great and runs cool. The original 289 C-code 2bbl engine is extremely strong and stretches its legs nicely on the road. The motor has been gone through and nicely dressed up with Cobra Valve covers.  There is a very long list of new components added over recent years that assure that this Mustang starts, runs, shifts, handles and brakes as it should. The motor does not smoke nor does it leak. The rear main seal has been replaced. The power steering works beautifully and the manual drum brakes work perfectly with minimal effort. Brake cylinder, brake hoses and lines have all been replaced.  The 4-speed shifts nicely and everything related has been rebuilt or replaced. This includes flywheel and all related hardware, clutch and all related hardware,  and rear transmission seal replaced. Original 3:00.1 rear axle ratio makes this a strong and fun car to cruise with at any speed.  The car handles the road nicely and has a great stance. Rear leaf springs and shackles were replaced. The Styled steel wheels with correct Blue Center caps give the car a great look and the radial tires are in almost brand new condition.  This Pony also has a nice tone thanks to the dual exhaust that was added.  Here is a look under the hood and there is also a video here so you can hear it running.

This Mustang still has the original buck tag from the factory listing the Vin # and options still attached to the drivers side inner fender apron.  The original door tag that shows how this car left the factory is also still in place.  The undercarriage is very solid including floorpans and torque boxes. At some point in the early 1980’s it did have the front floorpans replaced with sheet metal and slightly undercoated and they have held up fantastic. Inside of the trunk looks good as well with original style trunk mat in place. The history of receipts and list of components that have been replaced will come with the car.  Have a look:
