Spring is near and if you are looking forward to enjoying those sunny days with the wind in your hair, in a beautiful classic Mustang Convertible, then you may have just found the perfect car to do it in!! This sweet looking Pony is not only an undeniable eye catcher but she is also a joy to drive! We recently acquired this classics from a retired gentleman who owned it since 1994. He did some research when he bought it and discovered he was the 4th owner of this car and it lived its entire life in and around the great motor city of Detroit, MI.  In fact it was assembled at the Dearborn, MI plant and the DSO ( district sales office) was Lansing , MI.  When the gentleman we bought it from acquired it he decided it deserved a restoration that would bring it back to how it looked when it left the showroom floor. So, in 1995, the car was stripped to the metal and treated to a very nice, professional restoration.  At that time the car had 67,250 miles. It currently has just under 70,800 miles. The previous owner only drove this car on Sunny days and primarily used it to go to some local car shows and use in the local city parades during his retirement. He stored it properly and made sure it was always well maintained and trouble free.  He recently decided it was time to pass it along to the next lucky owner…Could that be you??  I am going to do my best to provide enough pictures, a few videos and an honest description so you can decide if this is the right Pony for you!! I am sure the next owner will love this car!!! Sit back and enjoy!

Finished in its original Paint “Q” Paint Code of Brittany Blue this 1967 Mustang Convertible has an absolutely beautiful body and paint finish.  Hard to believe as you walk around this Pony that it was restored 17 years ago.  This is a testament to how few miles were put on it since the restoration and how well kept it was by the previous owner.  The body panels line up great and the body itself is extremely straight.  The paint has tons of reflection and I would say that that paint and body are really close to flawless although you may find a tiny rock chip upon close inspection. There are no bubbles or cracks in the paint that are typically indicative of rust or previous rust repair. I believe the rear quarter panel skins were redone at the time of restoration and were done very professionally. Doors open and close with ease with no sag. Sport style side mirrors were painted to match and added although they are not original for a ’67 but definitely look great. A nice white GT style stripe was added that compliments the white convertible top.  Plenty of chrome trim including rocker panel and wheel well moldings.  Front and rear bumpers look excellent with only minor signs of age. Original luggage rack on the trunk adds a nice touch. All of the windows operate smoothly and are in very nice condition as is the windshield and convertible header trim above the windshield. This ’67 has the upgraded hood with the turn signals which work perfectly. Overall I would say the paint and body on this car are in close to show condition. In fact I am sure this car will plenty of trophies at the local shows and is definitely an investment quality Mustang that can also proudly be driven and enjoyed.  Here is a walk around tour of the body and believe me this Brittany Blue Pony looks as good in person as it does in the pictures.

Complimenting the beautiful Brittany Blue exterior is the original code 2B standard Blue bucket seat interior that is in fantastic condition.  I am not sure but it is possible that the seat covers were redone back in 1994 at the time of restoration. I only say that because they are in such great condition, however, they look like original OEM seats unlike some of the reproduction replacements you see today. Dash pad and gauge bezels look great. Dash pad looks great with no cracks.  Blue carpeting with matching Pony Floor mats all in great condition. Front and rear seat belts.  All of the lights and gauges are in working order and even the original AM radio works. This beauty does have a power top that was replaced in 1996 but looks practically new inside and out. The Power top functions perfectly and locks down easily and fits tight as a glove. Original matching blue boot covers snaps on tightly and looks great.  Take a look for yourself.

As mentioned earlier this C Code 289 V8 ’67 Mustang has extremely low documented mileage and drives out fantastic. In fact I drove it about 25 miles today on the highway at 70 mph and locally and it is one of the smoothest running Classic Mustangs we have had.  This Pony will be a car you will be able to get in and drive anywhere.  The previous owner had the transmission rebuilt about 5 years ago and had the motor gone through and professionally tuned.  At that time the original 2bbl carburetor was rebuilt.  Suspension was gone through as well and new leaf springs were added in the rear.  This Pony fires right up and truly glides along the road.  Power Steering functions wonderfully and the drum brakes were gone through and stop easily and straight.  The exhaust was updated with an h-pipe and glass pack style mufflers years ago and give this Mustang a great soft rumble at idle and a nice growl during heavy acceleration. I did a short video that I included at the end of the auction so you can hear it running. During my 25 mile drive today I noticed the engine stayed nice and cool.  Previous owner told me he never had any overheating issues but as a precaution he added an electric fan in addition to the stock fan that can be turned on in case you are ever in any parades or slow moving traffic in extreme heat.  The engine bay is nicely detailed and you will be proud to pop the hood at any local show or cruise in.  This car is truly a joy to drive!! The undercarriage is extremely solid and rust free. Floorpans were replaced and treated at time of restoration in 1995 and are rock solid. Torque boxes and frame rails look excellent.  Trunk is also rock solid with no rust issues and has the original trunk mat with spare tire and jack.  This Pony glides along the road wearing a fairly new set of white wall radial tires mounted on the original wheels and original wire wheel covers.  This is a Classic Mustang Convertible through and through!

This 1967 Mustang Convertible still has its original door tag and the Vin # is stamped on the drivers side inner fender apron.  The previous owner went to his DMV in 1994 when he purchased the car and requested a history of the previous ownership and was given copies of the titles from the 2 previous owners.  The low mileage is documented on the copies of these titles that will go with the car to the new owner as well as some of receipts kept by the previous owner.
