If you have been on the search for a high quality, professionally restored,  iconic classic Ford Mustang Convertible then your search might be over as this is truly a special car!! Those of you who have seen our cars listed on Ebay before know that we search the country looking for gems like this one. We found this one in Idaho at a Chevrolet Dealership that had just taken it on trade for a new car.  The woman who traded the car in had recently won this car at a Casino in a promotional giveaway.  We found out the name of the shop that had sold this car to the Casino and talked to them about the cars history.  The name of the restoration shop was Hot Bodz and Custom Rods in Lewiston, ID. They had acquired this car from the daughter of the original owner in Idaho about 3 years ago after the original owner had passed away.  They said the car was in amazing original condition with almost no rust but had never been restored. They proceeded to do a full rotisserie restoration with no expense spared to build this car in to the showpiece it is today. When it was finished they took it to various car shows in the area winning many awards.  They had a previous relationship with a Casino in the area that had bought several other classics from them and they sold this car to the Casino for a giveaway promotion. As you will see in the pics that follow this is a very high level car that will surely please most any buyer and is without a doubt a true investment quality classic that will win shows if you desire or can be driven and enjoyed!! I will do my best to provide enough pics so you can decide if this is the right one for you. There is also a short video so you can hear how great this Pony Sounds. Sit back, relax, and get ready to bid!!

This Mustang was a San Jose, CA production car that spent its whole life with the original owner in Idaho until a few years ago and lived a very dry and rust free life.  Body panels appear to be all original and the body on this car is amazingly straight! Body panel alignment is fantastic! As mentioned, this was a full rotisserie restoration done by a professional classic car restoration facility. As they explained to me they basically restored or replaced every nut and bolt on this car and the finished product is truly stunning. During the restoration they decided to add some GT Options to this car to give it the look of a GTA. It was a C-Code car originally but otherwise there is nothing that would tell you that this was not a true GTA. The car has the correct GT Fog lights that do work correctly, GT styled dual exhaust, GT Flip down gas cap, GTA emblems and stripes,  and chrome exterior decor package. The door tag was removed and not put back on but I see no evidence of anything other then red so I believe this was a true Candy Apple Red car and the paint is definitely Show Quality!! The body on this car is just about flawless!! I noticed a very small chip on the lower drivers door edge that was touched up but otherwise it is basically in perfect condition!! Chrome trim, bumpers, weatherstripping all look like new. The Black power convertible top is new and operates perfectly and there is a brand new boot as well for when the top is down.  Here is a walk around tour of the body:

As you would expect, the interior is as nice as the exterior and was completely redone. Everything from the seats to the carpet, dash, center console, door panels, gauges, steering wheel, etc…look like new. The original radio was pulled and a custom autosound digital stereo was installed with speakers placed in the correct spots in the door panels and front dash. There is also a subwoofer and amp neatly mounted and hidden in the trunk.  Remote drivers side mirror and seat belts front and back. All of the gauges and lights are working however the fuel gauge does not seem to be going all the way up to read correctly. The odometer is showing slightly less then 31,600 miles and is believed to have 131,600 miles on it although the miles are exempt due to the age of the car. A nice new set of Pony floor mats are in place. If i had to pick the interior in any way I might say that the paint finish they used on the door panels and other areas has a little more gloss then I think they had new.  Otherwise the inside of the car looks like it did on the Ford Show Room in 1967. Ok, so hopefully we can agree that the car looks fantastic….but how does it run and drive you may ask?? Well, it runs as good as it looks and sounds equally as impressive! Originally a C-Code 289 V8 the restoration shop had the motor completely rebuilt and upgraded to what GTA A code would have had. It now has a Holley 4bbl and Edelbrock performer intake for the power of an A-Code mustang. A nice set of Cobra Valve covers was added and the car was converted to handle the unleaded fuel. Automatic transmission shifts smooth as new. Maneuvering is a breeze with the Power Steering and stopping is simple with the Power Front disc brakes. This was an original factory Air conditioned car and an updated Sanden Compressor was added so it can truly cool you off if needed in those summer months.  The engine bay is very nice and will do well at the shows when you lift the hood. The suspension, front and back was also completely redone as this was a nut and bolt restoration. This car drive sand handles as nicely at 70 mph as it does as 35 mph. Take a look:
