We recently acquired this awesome ’76 Ford Bronco from the previous owner who bought it 6 years ago after it had recently undergone a very high level restoration by the gentleman who owned it before him. He was living in California at the time and was told this Bronco had spent its entire life in the sunny, dry climate of Southern California. The DSO code is 71 which is Los Angeles and careful inspection of this Bronco would confirm it lived a rust free life which is rare to find on these fun 4×4 Classic SUV’s. The previous owner had recently moved to Oregon where he garaged this Bronco but found that the weather in Oregon did not allow him to drive and enjoy the Bronco like he had in California so it was time to let it go. Lucky for you!!!!! This Bronco is going to thrill the next owner as it is a very high quality example that can be driven and enjoyed and taken to the shows if that is what you enjoy!
When this Bronco was restored about 7 years ago it received a color change from the original Ginger color to the eye-catching Yellow you see in the pictures. I do not see any evidence of any rust repair on the body and it appears to have all of its original sheet metal. Body panels are very straight and line up great. Doors and rear tailgate are rock solid and open and close easily. White fiberglass fender flares accent the yellow nicely and were replaced at the time of restoration. Roll bar is in great condition. Chrome and bumpers all look excellent with just minor wear on what appears to be the original rear bumper. All of the weather-stripping has been replaced. As you will see this Bronco will come with the original hard top that is in very nice shape overall, however, there are 2 spots on the top of the roof that were filled from what appears to have been where some lights may have been mounted. The Top could be repainted to be as nice as the rest of this Bronco but the glass on the hard top is all excellent. This Bronco also comes with the black bikini top that is shown that is great for those hot summer days. Windows roll up and down nicely. The windshield does have 2 small rock chips but they are not in the line of sight. The overall paint quality is excellent and if desired it could be wet sanded and buffed to an even higher quality finish. The only flaws I noticed on the body were a couple of small chips that had been professionally touched up over the years. This Bronco will turn heads everywhere you go and can be entered in any local show or cruise in and will probably bring home its share of trophies if you enjoy that. Here is a walk around photo tour and there is also a walk around video tour at the end of the listing:
The inside of this Bronco looks as nice as the exterior and has also been professionally redone. Original Front and rear seats were reupholstered in the original style white seat covers. The rust free floors were covered with a full vinyl floor kit. Dash pad was replaced. Door panels were replaced as well as arm rests. At some point an air conditioning system was added and works well but could be charged to blow even colder. A very nice Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo was professionally installed with 6×9 Pioneer speakers in the rear and 4″ Pioneer speakers in the doors. This system sounds great even with the top off. Most of the gauges in the dash are working however the speedometer is working intermittently right now and the main fuel tank gauge may need a new sending unit that we will try to correct before the Bronco is sold. Original trim tag is still riveted to the inside of the glove box door Overall the interior looks great, is very comfortable and is ready to go. Have a look:
In addition to looking great both inside and out this ’76 Bronco also performs great and is a blast to drive! We were told that the original 302 was rebuilt at time of restoration 7 years ago and has about 11,000 miles on it since then. The previous owner drove it home 1o hours when he originally bought it and it drove flawlessly. Both my partner and I have driven this Bronco recently in the 90+ degree Atlanta heat with no issues and it is a great truck to drive that commands attention wherever we go. The 302 V8 pulls strong and the C-4 Automatic transmission shifts strong and smooth. Magnaflow exhaust offers a nice tone. This Bronco is easy to drive at any speed and the Power Front Disc brakes stop great and were also completely gone through at time of restoration. Power steering makes handling a breeze. This Bronco has a great stance thanks to a 3″ lift kit, Rancho shocks, and the 33″ tires mounted on American Racing Alloy Rims including the matching spare. Rear tires are in great shape, fronts show some wear and the matching spare is brand new. 4wd shifts and functions properly. Dana 44 front transfer case and 9″ rear. Front and rear suspension was all redone at time of restoration. The undercarriage looks fantastic and the floor pans are all rock solid with absolutely no rust issues. The engine bay and undercarriage are both very clean and nicely detailed. As I have already mentioned this Bronco is a great running classic and I have also included a video at the end of the listing so you can hear it running. Take a look:
